A new termiticide from Aventis Environmental Science, the world's largest environmental science company, provides 100% control of termites in three months or less that lasts at least five years.
Termidor's active ingredient, fipronil, works differently that active ingredients of popular liquid and bait treatments used by pest control professionals (PCPs). Most termite products on the market are repellents that "repel" termites away from the treated area rather than killing them on site. Termidor is a non-repellent. Therefore, when Termidor is in the soil around and underneath a structure, termites are unaware of its presence and eventually contact or ingest the termiticide.
Many termiticides rely on ingestion alone to kill termites, but Termidor goes further with its feature. This means termites don't have to ingest the product to die from its effects. Termites can also pick up Termidor on their bodies and carry it back unknowingly to the nest, killing others they contact on the way.
